Hayes was diagnosed in 2006 with Pompe disease. It is a rare genetic disease that effects the heart and muscles and is listed
as one of the Muscular Distrophy diseases. Without treatment this disease is fatal befor ethe age of one. There is no cure
but fortunately the FDA approved a treatment in April 2006 that slows down the progression of the disease. Haley recieves
her treatment weekly from Duke Children's Hospital. Haley turned two years old in November but is unable to walk, crawl
or eat but she is slowly getting better from her treatments.She is the daughter of David and krystal Hayes of Bracey, Virginia.

1st Annual "Rumble thru Wilson" Benefit Motorcycle Run for Women and Children,
Saturday, September 13, 2008. This is a law enforcement escorted ride through Wilson and Wilson County for about 50 miles.
We will have door prizes, raffle prizes, a 50/50 drawing, a ride-in bike show, free breakfast biscuits before the ride and
free lunch after. The ride will begin at Wilson Community College near U.S. Hwy 301 and end at Buckhorn Resevoir. All riders
and passengers will gather in the parking lot behind Bldg J at Wilson Community College. Registration begins at 9:00 AM. The
ride begins at 11:00 AM through the City of Wilson and into some of the scenic areas of Wilson County. The bike show, lunch
and drawings will be conducted at Buckhorn Resevoir after the ride. All riders and passengers will be required to sign a ride
waiver. Registration fee is $10 per bike and $5 per passenger. We will also have event t-shirts for $10. All profit from this
event goes to help "Stop the Violence" against women and children in Wilson County. We will soon have a web site
